Prepare the Cheesecake
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a springform pan by wrapping it in aluminum foil to create a water bath.
- In a mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth, then combine with flour, baking soda, baking powder, melted butter, granulated sugar, and chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese with granulated sugar until creamy; add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Alternately drop dollops of banana bread batter and cheesecake batter into the prepared springform pan without swirling.
- Gently place the roasting pan in the oven and bake for 75-90 minutes, ensuring a slight wobble in the center.
- Remove the pan from the water bath and let the cheesecake cool completely on a wire rack, then chill for at least 4 hours.
- Spread a generous layer of cream cheese buttercream frosting over the chilled cheesecake before serving.

Notes
For best texture and flavor, use room temperature ingredients and do not skip the water bath for baking.
