- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Sift together 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir in 1 cup of chopped fresh chives, 2 tablespoons each of chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, and sage, and fold in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour in 1 ¾ cups of buttermilk and mix until just combined.
