  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Pomegranate Juice Can substitute with cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Maple syrup can be used as an alternative
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice Bottled juice works in a pinch
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest Fresh zest for best aroma
For the Garnish
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate Seeds Chopped cranberries can be used as a substitute
  • 1 cup Orange Slices
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Can substitute with cilantro or chives
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions Sweet onions can also substitute

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the Oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Salmon by placing fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet. Season generously with kosher salt and black pepper.
  3. Make the Pomegranate Glaze by combining pomegranate juice, brown sugar, orange juice, and orange zest in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Glaze the Salmon by brushing the thickened pomegranate glaze over the seasoned fillets.
  5. Bake the Salmon in the preheated oven for 30-38 minutes, checking that it flakes easily and is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the salmon to a platter, garnish with pomegranate seeds, orange slices, parsley, and green onions.
