Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth using an electric mixer.
  3. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract to the mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan, about 1 inch deep.
  7. Mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle over the batter evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for 20-30 minutes.
  10. Prepare the frosting by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
