Preparation Steps
- Remove the crusts from each slice of bread and flatten each slice to about ¼ inch thick.
- Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the flattened bread slices, leaving a border.
- Roll each slice of bread tightly, sealing the edges.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Dip each roll in the egg mixture and place seam-side down in the skillet, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove when golden brown and serve warm with maple syrup or fresh berries.
