For Seasoning and Garnishing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the meat sauce by warming olive oil, cooking ground beef until browned, then adding marinara, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix ricotta, egg, and Parmesan in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble lasagna in a baking dish with layers of meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with basil or parsley.
