Baking Process
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine flour, sugar, and butter in a bowl to make the crust.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 9-inch square baking dish.
- Bake the crust for about 15 minutes until light golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and orange zest, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until jammy.
- In another bowl, mix cream cheese, egg, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust and swirl in the cranberry filling.
- Bake for an additional 35-40 minutes until the edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
- Cool the bars at room temperature for an hour then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
