Optional Enhancements
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg Can be omitted if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Use pure extract for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon Dark Rum Can be replaced with an extra tablespoon of vanilla or omitted entirely.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Before starting, freeze the bowl of your ice cream maker for at least 11 hours.
  2. In a blender, combine coconut milk, coconut condensed milk, and coconut cream with a pinch of salt and any optional enhancements. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the mixture into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  4. After chilling, whisk the mixture to re-emulsify it. Pour into the pre-frozen ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions, about 20-30 minutes until soft-serve texture.
  5. Transfer to a freezer-proof container and freeze for an additional 4 hours until firm.
