  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain the rest and set aside.
  2. Sear the Shrimp: Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, cook until pink, about 1-2 minutes per side, then remove from skillet.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  4. Combine: Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, toss to coat well. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Cooking pasta until al dente prevents it from becoming mushy. Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. Reserve pasta water for sauce consistency. Customize with your favorite vegetables.
