- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Bring lightly salted water to a boil. Carefully add manicotti shells and cook for 3–4 minutes until pliable but not fully cooked.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper for 5-7 minutes until browned, then stir in marinara sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Pour ½ cup of the meat sauce into the bottom of the baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella, beaten egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and dried basil. Season to taste.
- Using a piping bag, fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
- Arrange the stuffed manicotti in the baking dish and cover with the reserved meat sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
