Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Apple Fries
  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Peel if preferred, then slice into fry-shaped sticks about ½-inch thick.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: 1st with flour, 2nd with whisked egg and milk, 3rd with panko breadcrumbs and cinnamon sugar.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip in egg wash, and roll in the panko mixture. Set aside when coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Carefully place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Air fry the apple fries at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway for even cooking.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately. Toss in cinnamon sugar if desired.
