Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, honey, salt, and lime juice until smooth. Toss in the shredded cabbage and grated carrots and chill.
  2. In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, minced jalapeño, and capers, blend until smooth, and refrigerate.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add egg and beer; stir until smooth.
  4. Pat cod fillets dry, season with salt and pepper, and heat vegetable oil to 350°F. Dip fillets in batter and fry until golden brown.
  5. Warm tortillas, place fried fish on each, top with slaw and sauce, and add optional toppings before serving.
