Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until creamy.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for about 20 seconds to make them pliable.
- Place 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken filling on one side of each tortilla and roll it tightly, sealing in the filling.
- Arrange the rolled taquitos seam-side down on the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Brush the taquitos lightly with oil or cooking spray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp, optionally broiling for 1-2 minutes at the end.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving.
