Fish Bites Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh white fish fillets cod or tilapia recommended
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour can substitute gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika optional
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter for cooking
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley for garnish
Garlic Aioli Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp salt for aioli
  • 1 tsp black pepper for aioli

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, and fresh lemon juice. Mix until smooth, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut fresh white fish fillets into bite-sized pieces, pat dry to help coating stick, and set aside.
  3. In a shallow dish, whisk together all-purpose flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat each piece of fish lightly with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter, and add fish pieces. Drizzle in fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove fish bites from the skillet, place on paper towel-lined plate, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with chilled garlic aioli on the side.
