Preparation
- Heat about 3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pot to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, scallions, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Place approximately 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with water to seal.
- Fold the wrapper and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
- Fry sealed rangoons in hot oil for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove fried rangoons and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with sweet and sour sauce.
