  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract or imitation vanilla
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 0.33 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking Powder avoid if using self-raising flour
  • 1 pinch Salt can be reduced if using salted butter
  • 0.5 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips optional for extra fudginess
For the Decoration
  • 1 cup Candy Melts (Red, Green, White) used for decoration
  • 0.5 cup Mini Candy Bows/Sprinkles optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Whisk in 1 cup of granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together 1 cup of flour, ⅓ cup cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Fold the dry mixture into the melted butter mixture. Optionally add ½ cup chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Remove from oven and cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 30 minutes.
  7. Cut cooled brownies into squares and drizzle with melted candy melts. Add mini candy bows and sprinkles if desired.
  8. Allow decorations to set for about 15 minutes before serving or packaging.
