Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, then whisk in 2 cups of granulated sugar until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Add 4 large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to the cooled mixture and whisk until thick and glossy.
- Sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Fold into the wet mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting them out and cutting into squares.
- Melt the candy melts in separate bowls and drizzle over the brownies in ribbon-like patterns. Add mini candy bows or sprinkles if desired.
- Let the decorations harden, room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

Notes
For best results, cool the brownies completely before cutting. Use parchment paper to prevent sticking, and check for doneness frequently to avoid dry brownies.
