Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, then whisk in 2 cups of granulated sugar until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Add 4 large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to the cooled mixture and whisk until thick and glossy.
  4. Sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Fold into the wet mixture.
