  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Boneless and skinless recommended

  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dried or fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika optional
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust based on spice tolerance
For the Fresh Salsa
  • 1 cup Cucumbers Seedless preferred
  • 1 cup Tomatoes Vine-ripened recommended
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Any variety
  • 1/2 medium Red Onion Soaked in water for mild flavor
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Can substitute with cilantro
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese Athenos Crumbled Feta recommended

Method
 

Marinating and Cooking Process
  1. Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Marinade chicken breasts, cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Chop cucumbers, tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, parsley, and crumble feta in a bowl. Drizzle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, and cook marinated chicken breasts for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and reach 165°F.
  4. Warm pitas by heating over gas flame or in a dry skillet for about 5 minutes.
  5. Slice the chicken and assemble tacos by placing chicken in pitas, topping with fresh salsa and tzatziki sauce. Serve immediately.
