Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Homemade Gyoza
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, finely chopped green onions, shredded cabbage, minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated, ensuring each bite is packed with flavor. This step should take about 5 minutes.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and scoop a small portion of the filling, roughly a tablespoon, in the center. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper; fold in half and pinch the edges together tightly to seal.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Carefully place the dumplings in the skillet, making sure to leave enough space between them. Fry until the bottoms become golden brown and crispy—approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- After achieving a perfect golden crust, pour 1/4 cup of water into the skillet and cover with a lid. Let them steam for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Once done steaming, carefully remove the lid and let them crisp for an additional minute, then transfer the gyoza to a serving plate and enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
Make sure to pinch the edges of the wrappers tightly to prevent leaks. Use a non-stick skillet to minimize sticking, and freeze uncooked gyoza on a baking sheet for later use.
