Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Fettuccine Pasta Can substitute with penne or spaghetti.
For the Chicken
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Can use canola or vegetable oil.
  • 2 lbs Chicken Breasts Can substitute with shrimp or tofu.
For the Flavor
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced for best flavor.
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper Sliced, can substitute with other sweet peppers.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Maple syrup can be used as an alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Tamari is a good gluten-free alternative.
  • to taste Chili Flakes Optional for added spice.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Green Onions Fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley can also be used.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and sauté for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced red bell pepper, sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Stir frequently to avoid burning.
  4. Pour in honey and soy sauce, stirring well. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Slice the chicken and add it along with cooked fettuccine to the skillet. Toss to coat and heat through for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped green onions.
