Dough
  • 2 cans Crescent Roll Dough (or Croissant Dough) Puff pastry can be used as a substitute.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (melted) Essential for moisture.
Sweet Mixture
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Feel free to use a sugar alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar Granulated sugar can also be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon Adjust to taste.
For Rolling
  • 1 cup Flour Use sparingly to avoid a dense texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your muffin tin.
  2. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and form a smooth rectangle.
  3. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly.
  5. Place the second layer of dough on top, press to seal, and cut into strips.
  6. Roll each strip gently to form spirals, maintaining airiness.
  7. Dip spirals in melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place cruffins in the muffin tin and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool before serving.
