Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 2 bags Black tea bags Or loose leaf for a fresher taste.
  • 2 cups Water (divided) Essential for brewing the tea.
Mango Purée
  • 2 cups Ripe mango Fresh is ideal, or frozen for convenience.
  • 2 cups Water Needed to boil the mango.
Sweetening
  • To taste Honey Substitute with agave nectar or maple syrup if desired.
To Serve
  • As needed Ice Use frozen mango chunks or tea cubes.

Method
 

Brewing the Tea
  1. Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a kettle. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep 2 black tea bags in a pitcher for about 10 minutes.
Preparing the Mango
  1. While the tea is steeping, place 2 cups of ripe mango in a saucepan with 2 cups of water. Boil gently and simmer for about 10 minutes, mashing to create a smooth purée.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Strain the mango purée into the pitcher with the brewed tea. Add honey to taste and stir until dissolved.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the mixture to cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve over ice in tall glasses.
Garnishing
  1. Garnish each glass with fresh mango slices or mint leaves.
