  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar or brown sugar
  • 3 large Eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp Vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Buttermilk or milk + lemon juice
For the Milk Soak
  • 1 cup Whole milk or dairy-free milk
  • 1 cup Sweetened condensed milk or coconut cream
For the Frosting
  • 8 oz Cream cheese cold, or dairy-free
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • a few drops Purple food coloring optional

Step-by-Step Instructions for London Fog Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the baking pan.
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs and vanilla until fully incorporated.
