  • 0.5 cup Reserved Pasta Water save some before draining the pasta
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil extra-virgin is preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese save extra for garnishing

  • 0.25 cup Pine Nuts or Walnuts toasted is best
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Mozzarella Balls halved
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice for brightness
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Cook pasta according to package instructions until just al dente (8-10 minutes).
  2. Once the pasta is almost ready, carefully reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining pasta in a colander.
  3. Transfer the drained pasta to a large mixing bowl while still warm. Add fresh basil pesto and mix well.
  4. Gradually stir in the reserved pasta water to achieve desired creaminess, then add grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Plate the pasta, drizzle with lemon juice, and add optional toppings such as halved cherry tomatoes or mozzarella balls. Serve immediately.
