Method
 

Preparation Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining it.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well and then blend in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture alternating with sour cream.
  5. Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the ganache, heat cream until it simmers, then stir in dark chocolate until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cake and sprinkle with extra pecans.
