  • 1 cup Chopped Onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 can Canned Beans (Black or Kidney) Drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Corn Frozen or canned
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes With juice
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Cooking Steps
  1. Plug in your slow cooker and set it to low heat. Chop your vegetables and coat the slow cooker pot with non-stick spray or olive oil.
  2. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease and transfer to the slow cooker.
  3. Layer the chopped bell peppers, onions, and garlic into the slow cooker over the meat, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Add canned beans and corn, then sprinkle chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
  5. Pour diced tomatoes and tomato sauce over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until vegetables are tender.
  7. Serve warm in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs or sour cream if desired.
