Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, water, yeast, and a pinch of salt. Stir until a sticky dough forms, about 5 minutes.
- Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for 2–3 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Punch down the dough, divide into equal portions, and roll out into thin flatbreads.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes on each side.
- Place cooked flatbreads on a baking sheet, spread tomato sauce evenly, add mozzarella and basil.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and bake for 8–10 minutes until cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from oven, cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and drizzle with olive oil. Enjoy!
