Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Cream butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until pale and fluffy.

  4. Shape into a log, wrap in parchment, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the log into rounds and arrange on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges turn lightly golden brown.
  7. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
