- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter over medium heat in a light-bottomed saucepan, stirring for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix in the chocolate chips into the browned butter and let melt slightly.
- Combine both sugars in a mixing bowl and beat until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the brown butter mixture, then gradually add flour and sea salt, mixing carefully.
- In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, sugars, and egg until shiny. Sift in dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the brownie batter in the baking pan, dollop half of the cookie dough on top, then layer with remaining brownie and cookie dough.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 1 hour before slicing into squares.

Notes
For best results, use a light-bottomed saucepan to brown the butter, and avoid overmixing for fudgy texture. Customize with add-ins as desired.
