Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine brownie mix or scratch ingredients in a mixing bowl, stirring until smooth. Pour into a greased springform pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. While the brownie base cools, beat cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and sugar; mix until creamy.
  3. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie base and spread evenly. Bake for 50–60 minutes until edges are set; cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  4. Prepare hot fudge sauce if making from scratch, then drizzle over cheesecake. Chill covered for at least 4–6 hours or overnight.
  5. Release springform pan, slice cheesecake, and top each slice with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry.
