  • 14 ounces Smoked Sausage low-sugar, low-carb type like kielbasa or andouille
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese can be substituted with dairy-free cream cheese
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream coconut cream can be used as a dairy-free alternative
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded; Gruyère is a great alternative
For Seasoning
  • to taste Seasoning smoked paprika or other spices

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the smoked sausage over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Steam the broccoli and cauliflower for about 5 minutes until tender yet crisp in a steamer basket.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream cheese, heavy cream, and desired seasonings until smooth and creamy.
  5. In a baking dish, combine the steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and browned sausage. Pour the cheese sauce over and mix gently.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. For a crispy finish, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with a fresh salad or protein.
