Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice your day-old brioche into 1-inch cubes and place them into a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- Add your sliced peaches gently to the bowl of brioche, then pour the custard mixture over the bread and fold together.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and a hint of cinnamon. Cut in chilled butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter. Pour the custard-bread-peach mixture evenly into the dish and sprinkle the topping over it.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
For best flavor absorption, allow the brioche to soak in the custard for at least 20-30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
