Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together wet ingredients: eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter in another bowl.
- Gradually pour wet ingredients into dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Grease donut pan and fill cavities about ⅔ full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes.
- Melt ¼ cup of butter and combine ½ cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
- Brush donuts with melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Melt optional chocolate and mix with heavy cream; drizzle over donuts if desired.
