Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Apple Fritter Bites
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; stir in egg, vanilla extract, and applesauce.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, then fold in diced apples.
  5. Scoop dollops onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing a few inches apart.
  6. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden and puffed.
  7. While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar and apple cider until smooth for the glaze.
  8. Brush the glaze over warm fritters, then broil for 2-4 minutes.
