Salad

Sandwich

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
  2. Add 2 cups of shredded lettuce, ½ cup of sliced red onion, and ½ cup of banana peppers to the dressing. Gently fold the ingredients together.
  3. Slice open sub rolls and layer your choice of meats: start with 4 ounces of salami, followed by 4 ounces of pepperoni, and finish with 4 ounces of turkey. Top with 4 slices of provolone cheese.
  4. Preheat your oven's broiler to high. Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes, watching closely.
  5. Add slices of fresh tomato on top of the sandwiches and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Generously spoon the prepared grinder salad over the sandwich, and sprinkle a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Carefully close each sandwich with the top half of the roll and cut in half for easy serving.
