For the Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Combining with other cheeses can elevate flavor.
For the Spread
  • 4 Tbsp Butter (softened) Use unsalted for better control over saltiness.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Substitute with fresh garlic if preferred.
  • 2 tsp Dried Herbs (oregano or basil) Fresh herbs can add delightful freshness.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached at the bottom.
  3. Spread softened butter on the cut sides of the rolls.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered sides of the rolls.
  5. Layer shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.
  6. Place the tops of the rolls back onto the cheese bottoms.
  7. Wrap the stacked rolls tightly in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Unwrap the foil and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. Slice and serve warm, optionally with marinara sauce for dipping.
