- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached at the bottom.
- Spread softened butter on the cut sides of the rolls.
- Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered sides of the rolls.
- Layer shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Place the tops of the rolls back onto the cheese bottoms.
- Wrap the stacked rolls tightly in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Unwrap the foil and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve warm, optionally with marinara sauce for dipping.
