Ingredients
  

For the Seafood
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound scallops fresh or frozen
  • 1 pound white fish fillets such as Haddock or Cod
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream substitute with half-and-half for lighter option
  • 1 cup milk whole milk works best
  • 3 tablespoons butter substitute with olive oil for lighter option
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour gluten-free flour can be used
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder fresh garlic can be used
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder or finely chopped sautéed onions
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley fresh parsley is a great alternative
  • 1 teaspoon paprika adjust according to spice preference
  • to taste salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh lemon juice recommended
For the Topping
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese mozzarella can be used
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko for extra crispiness

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Rinse the shrimp, scallops, and white fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry. Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in 1/4 cup of flour until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and season with garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  5. Combine the seasoned sauce with the seafood in a large bowl, stirring gently to coat.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top of the seafood mixture.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes
