Cooking Steps
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a generous tablespoon of butter. Toast the burger buns cut side down for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

- Gather all your fresh toppings by washing and slicing the lettuce, tomato, and onion. Set out the dill pickle slices and chosen condiments.

- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions of about 2 ounces each and gently roll into balls.

- Preheat the griddle or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. Smash the beef balls down to about ¼ inch thick and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 2 minutes.

- Carefully flip the patties, add cheese to half, and cook for another 60-90 seconds until the cheese is melted and burgers are cooked to desired doneness.

- Assemble the burgers by spreading sauces on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, one cheese-topped patty, and a plain one on top. Finish with the other half of the bun.
