  • baking dish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Chop one onion and mince two cloves of garlic. In a large bowl, mix cooked rice, ground beef, tomato sauce, onion, and garlic. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  2. In a skillet, warm oil and sauté chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Add ground beef, cooking until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Wash green bell peppers and slice off the tops, removing seeds. Stand peppers in a baking dish and fill each with the meat and rice mixture, pressing down slightly.
  4. Pour tomato sauce over each filled pepper, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 30-40 minutes until tender and aromatic.
  5. Let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, sprinkle cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
