  • 1 pack Yakisoba Noodles Soak in warm water if using instant noodles.
  • 1 medium Onion Slice thinly.
  • 2 medium Carrots Julienne for quick cooking.
  • 2 cups Green Cabbage Shred finely.
  • 3 stalks Green Onions Slice and separate the white/light green from the dark green parts.
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce Essential for authenticity.
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Consider low-sodium for lightness.
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce Substitute with a vegetarian option if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Helps balance the flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, and sugar. Set aside.
  2. Soak instant yakisoba noodles in warm water for 1–2 minutes, then drain and toss with vegetable oil.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil and allow to shimmer.
  4. Add sliced onion and julienned carrots, stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Incorporate shredded green cabbage, stir-fry for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  6. Toss in the soaked noodles along with the prepared sauce, stir-fry for 2–4 minutes.
  7. Stir in most of the sliced green onions, cook for another minute.
  8. Serve, garnishing with reserved green onions. Optional toppings: sesame seeds or pickled ginger.
