Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey 93% lean recommended
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider fresh, unfiltered is ideal
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs can substitute with gluten-free
  • 1 large Egg omit for dairy-free option
  • 1/2 cup Onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon for warmth
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg use sparingly
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice for autumn aroma
  • 2 tsp Fresh Sage or 2/3 if dried
  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme or 1/3 if dried
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup to taste for glaze
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard for glaze
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider used in the glaze
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup for glaze sweetness
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard for tanginess in glaze

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, apple cider, whole wheat breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and herbs. Mix gently to combine.
  2. Portion the turkey mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, and sear the meatballs for 7-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the meatballs, and in the same skillet, add apple cider, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard; cook for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Return the meatballs to the skillet, toss with the glaze, and cook for an additional minute. Transfer to a serving platter.
