Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Balls
  • 1 lb Fresh Salmon Fillet Thawed frozen salmon can be used.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Can substitute with dill.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Omit if not a fan; use extra parsley.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Substitute with almond flour for gluten-free.
  • 1 large Egg Essential for binding.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, can substitute garlic powder.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can be used for milder flavor.
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest Freshly grated is best.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For grilling.
For the Creamy Avocado Sauce
  • 1 ripe Avocado Ensure it's perfectly ripe.
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt Can substitute with sour cream.
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice Freshly squeezed is recommended.
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced, adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely chop the fresh salmon fillet or pulse in a food processor until chunky.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine salmon with parsley, cilantro, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, paprika, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls about 2 inches in diameter, aiming for 12 to 14 balls.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook salmon balls for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. While salmon balls are grilling, blend avocado, cilantro, Greek yogurt, lime juice, and garlic until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve salmon balls on a platter with creamy avocado sauce drizzled over or as a dip on the side.
