Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, sugar, and instant dry yeast. Stir gently and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Add bread flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the dough, turn it out onto a floured surface, and divide into 6 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and let rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll each piece into an 18 cm round approximately 5 mm thick.
- Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each round for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and let it cook for another minute to help it puff.
- Brush the cooked bread with melted butter or olive oil and serve warm.

Notes
Use a heavy pan for better heat retention. Check the temperature before cooking to achieve puffiness. Don't overmix the dough and always cover during cooking to retain moisture.
