Instructions
- Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, ensuring they’re moisture-free for optimal searing. Rub both sides generously with olive oil, then sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, adding salt if needed. Let the seasoned salmon rest while you prepare your cooking equipment.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until hot. Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side up into the skillet. Allow them to sear without moving for approximately 3 minutes, or until a golden crust forms.
- Using a spatula, gently flip the salmon fillets so that the skin side is down. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the skin to crisp up beautifully.
- In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Allow the mixture to simmer for around 3 minutes, continuously stirring to blend the flavors.
- Pour the honey sauce evenly over the salmon fillets in the skillet while still cooking. Spoon the sauce over the fillets every minute for about 3-5 more minutes, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a lemon wedge on the side for an added burst of flavor.
