Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the sausage.
  5. Add jasmine rice to the skillet, stirring to coat the rice with the sausage and sauce.
  6. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
