Preparation Steps
- Spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place the chicken breasts inside evenly.
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, onion, water, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, allspice, and lemon pepper. Stir until well-blended.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Set to HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours.
- While cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, garlic, grated cucumber, parsley, and salt. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker with two forks.
- Serve the shredded chicken on warm pocketless pita bread with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and lettuce.
