Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Stir in the chopped fresh pineapple, apple cider vinegar, water, lime juice, and honey if using. Season with salt and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat for about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture cook uncovered for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  4. Carefully transfer the simmered mixture to a blender and blend on high until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
  5. Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or container for a silky smooth sauce.
  6. Allow the strained sauce to cool to room temperature before transferring it to a sterilized bottle or jar.
