Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Chill the unsalted butter in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes, then dice into small, pea-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the cold, diced butter to the flour mixture and cut it into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Slowly pour in the half and half, stirring gently until the dough begins to come together.
